What is COMPS-LITE?
COMPS-LITE is a scaled down version of our popular COMPSEARCH program. It does not contain all the features that COMPSEARCH has but it does still provide complete sales and assessment information as well as property photos (where available), block & lot maps (where available), etc. (With more features being added frequently). COMPS-LITE also provides coverage for all of New York State, which COMPSEARCH does not. Best of all for you COMPS-LITE comes with a much lower price tag.

What web browsers does COMPS-LITE support?
COMPS-LITE is designed for Microsoft© Internet Explorer. We recommend that you use Internet Explorer when using COMPS-LITE to avoid any problems. It will function with other browsers, however it may not display properly at times and there is a small chance that you may not have full functionality with another browser.

How do I subscribe to COMPS-LITE?
TO subscribe to COMPS-LITE click on the subscribe link on our homepage, you will be directed on what to do from there.
How many computers can I register for access to COMPS-LITE?
COMPS-LITE can only be accessed from computers that are registered to your account for COMPS-LITE. A standard subscription allows you to register two computers to access COMPS-LITE. Additional registrations are available at an additional cost.
How do I register a computer for COMPS-LITE?
You must download the Comps_Login software from our website to your desktop. Once your subscription is paid and you are activated, to access COMPS-LITE you must run the COMPS_Login.exe from your desktop, enter your username and password and click on Log In. Once you do that you will be directed to the COMPS-LITE page and begin using COMPS-LITE. Please Note that once you are a piad subscriber, this is the only way to log into COMPS, you can not log in directly from the website.

What Web Browser should I use for COMPS-LITE?
COMPS-LITE is designed to work with Microsoft Internet Explorer. You can access it with other browsers but you may lose some functionality if you do choose to do that. We will be working to improve the compatibility of COMPS-LITE for other web browsers.
I’m having trouble logging into COMPS-LITE. What can I do?

*SEARCHING ON COMPS-LITE
How do I find comparable sales data ?
In order to find comparable sales data you must do what is referred to as a ‘radius search’. You must first do an assessment search for the subject property that you wish to find comparable sales for. Once you have the assessment listed on your screen, select that property so it is highlighted. Then at the bottom of your screen, click on the button labeled RADIUS (GET SALES). You can then enter in a radius search distance (in miles), as well as a date and price range. You can also change the property class for the search if you need to. This is the most efficient way to find comparable sales data.
*PRINTING ON COMPS-LITE
How do I print sales data?
To print sales data records, they must be tagged. To tag a record, you must check off the box to the left of the record. Once you have tagged all the records you wish to print you can click on the button labeled PRINT TAGGED. You will then see a report on your screen. To print this report you will need to go to the file menu on your browser and select print, you are best served printing on legal paper, and these reports should be printed in landscape format. You may need to go to the FILE menu in your browser and select PAGE SETUP to choose this option.
